Step 7 - Environment

The environment of your job is important because it's the eco-system that you work in. It's something that you can create and take control of... at the same time, it's something that you can let negatively influence you. It's entirely possible to manipulate the environment such that it can work in your favor... and in this video I'm going to show you how.

You will want to consider the changes to the environment that you can make between now and when you present your raise request.

In this video I will teach you...

* Why the environment as a whole: Timing, place and location can effect how well your presentation goes.

* How attitude and atmosphere play a big part of creating a relaxed environment for your salary increase request. How to keep it light, use humor and yet be taken seriously at the same time.

* Timing has a natural atmosphere around it, learn how you can observe and make this work to your advantage.

* How to NOT ambush your boss and prepare him or her so that they are receptive to your pay raise.

* A way to slowly and incrementally create an environment that lays a solid foundation for your pay raise request.

* The exact time you can choose to ask for more money.

This video is just a single aspect of the Salary Step-Up Series.
